Our brain waves don't always work together in perfect balance, making some conditions or circumstances more difficult to manage. Neurofeedback involves direct training of brain wave function for the purpose of developing more efficient patterns of brain wave activity. This improved brain wave regulation transfers into improved self-regulation of emotions, behaviors and cognitive functioning. We begin with a client interview, which includes exploring your history, current symptoms and concerns, and your goals. This information is used to determine which type of neurofeedback we recommend for you and your situation. Together, this information is used to guide counseling sessions and neurofeedback training. During training, brain wave activity is monitored through sensors on the scalp. You're provide live real-time feedback regarding this activity and your brain responds to this feedback. Neurofeedback has been found successful in relieving a variety of symptoms, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, insomnia and stress. Trish offers two types of neurofeedback: Infra-Slow Frequency Training, and LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback).
