David J. Carter, PhD, LIMHP, LCPC

On-line Counseling in NE & KS

Dr. David Carter has over 25 years of counseling experience in private practice. He provides on-line counseling for couples and adults. David's preferred approach is Transactional Analysis. He is passionate about helping individuals and couples recognize and change their transactions with themselves and others, so they can create healthier inter-relationships and intra-relationship. David has completed Level II training in the Gottman Method for working with couples. He is a Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Kansas Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  David is a Professor Ameritus at the University of Nebraska and is a professor in Mid-America Nazarene University's Graduate Counselor Education Department. He formerly served as the president of the Nebraska Counseling Association and is a member of the American Counseling Association. David helped co-found Carter Counseling Center.

Patricia L. Carter, MA, LIMHP, BCN, LCPC

On-line Counseling in NE & KS

 

Patricia (Trisha) Carter has over 15 years of experience as a professional counselor in private practice. She works primarily with adults, adolescents and couples. Trisha is currently offering on-line appointments only, with the exception of neurofeedback. Trish is dedicated to helping individuals manage stress, anxiety and anger responses, as well as helping couples develop healthier communication patterns. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Neurofeedback and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Trish has completed Level II training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy and is board certified in neurofeedback. She is a Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Kansas Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

She is also a member of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. Prior to opening a private practice, Trish worked in the social services field while at Boystown and The Salvation Army. Trish also previously taught in the Psychology Department for College of Saint Mary and in the Graduate Counselor Education Department at University of Nebraska. Trish helped co-found Carter Counseling Center.

Krystal Humbard, MA, LMHP, LPC

Krystal (Krista) Humbard is devoted to helping individuals and families develop self-understanding, self-management and the skills necessary for living a happy healthy life. She provides on-line individual, family and couples counseling for all age groups. Krista is a Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor. Krista's preferred approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Modification and Behavioral Analysis.  Krista earned her BA in Psychology at Kansas University and her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
