Trish Carter has over 20 years of experience as a licensed professional therapist, counselor and psychotherapist. She is a trauma-informed therapist. and is trained in Neurofeedback, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT) and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. She is a member of the Biofeedback Certification Neurofeedback Alliance and is board certified in neurofeedback, which she integrates with counseling to enhance anxiety management, stress management, and trauma healing.
Trish believes every client has their own unique story to share and takes into account the impact of life experiences on one's understanding of themselves and their relationships. She helps guide individuals and couples through the process of growth and healing. Trish offers compassion, understanding, hope and the tools and strategies for renewal and transformation. She strives to assist you in realizing your greatest potential so you can be your highest and best self.

Trish is committed to helping her clients manage stress, anxiety and anger responses through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Neurofeedback. She is dedicated to assisting trauma survivors through the process of healing with true compassion and the use of EMDR. Trish is passionate about helping couples develop greater intimacy and healthier communication patterns through the use of Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman strategies. She also provides Pre-Marital Counseling to help couples lay a firm foundation for their future.
Trish received her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from the University of Nebraska and previously taught in the Psychology Department for College of Saint Mary and in the Graduate Counselor Education Department at University of Nebraska. Prior to opening a private practice, Trish worked in the social services field for over a decade while at Boystown and The Salvation Army. She is a professional writer and author with a passion for exploring the intersection of health, wellness, and personal growth. Trish has cultivated a deep understanding of both scientific and holistic approaches to improving mental and physical well-being. Her work focuses on empowering individuals to enhance their lives through practical insights and evidence-based strategies. As accomplished authors, Trish and her husband David have written extensively on topics such as stress management, emotional resilience, and alternative healing practices. They are known for their engaging writing style, which blends academic rigor with accessible language, making complex ideas easy to understand for a wide audience. Trish works in private practice as a licensed clinical professional counselor, offering guidance to individuals and couples seeking personal transformation.
